A. AutoSum function – A program that takes a range of cells adds them together and displays the results.
B. Cell – Intersection of a row and column. Can contain up to 256 characters.
C. Column – Range of cells labeled by a letter and displayed vertically (up and down).
D. Row – Range of cells labeled by a number and displayed horizontally (across).
E. Cell reference – Also called an address, referenced by column letter and row number. Example: A1 – refers to the cell located at column A and row 1.
F. Right align - Position the contents of a cell to the right of the cell.
G. Currency format – Change the numeric contents of the cell so that the numbers are preceded with a dollar sign $ and have two decimal places. Example: $4.50.
H. Formula – An arithmetic expression.
Must start with an equals sign “=”. Must also follow the standard
order of operation – Parentheses (), Exponent 2^2, Multiplication
*, Division /, Addition + and Subtraction. Example: =2*6/2
I. Underline Border – A line under
or around a cell.
J. Label - Data you are not going to
perform arithmetic with. Example: 1234 Highland Drive, Greensboro, NC
22999.
K. Value –
Data you want represented as a number.
L. Bold- Makes
selected text or numbers darker
